Gilia – Globe

Globe Gilia is native to the Pacific Coast.  It is also commonly known as Blue Head or Blue Field Gilia.  It can be found in much of western North America between Mexico and Alaska.  This flower can also be found on the eastern side of the continent as an introduced species.  This wildflower can have a varied appearance and it needs full sun to partial shade to grow.  The Globe Gilia is drought tolerant and will take root in many different soil compositions.

The broadcast rate for seeding is 4 – 5 pounds per acre.

The seed drill rate for seeding in rows is 2 pounds per acre.
