Phlox – Mountain

Mountain Phlox is an annual flower that is native to California.  It can be found along the coast and works well as a cut flower.  Blooms are white but are often shaded with a light pink or purple color. This flower likes full sun and can grow in sandy soil that is well-drained.  Mountain Phlox is also commonly referred to as California Phlox.  Plant this flower in the spring, after the ground has warmed-up or fall plant in zones 7-10.  For optimum bloom, water regularly.  This flower grows best near its native home on the western side of the United States.
