Poppy – Shirley Single Mix

The Shirley Poppy was developed as a subspecies from the Red Poppy.  It comes in shades of pink, red and white.  As well as in double or single petal arrangements.  This flower can be spring, or fall planted in the United States.  It prefers to be planted in an area with full sun.  The Poppy will not abide root agitation, so it can only be transplanted if it is done when it is very small.  This flower should be planted directly outdoors, in the ground.  The seeds for this poppy are very small, and only need to be planted as deep as the seed is in size.  Often success can be found by scattering the seeds on top of loose garden soil and watering them in.
